We will accomplish this by hiring educators and support staff who value and commit to 1) identifying and eliminating systemic barriers to educational equity; 2) ensuring that cultures of equity transform inequitable policies and systems; 3) providing instruction, curriculum and learning environments that reflect the strengths and needs of our students allowing them to reach their full potential; and 4) eliciting and engaging our students, families, staff and community. We are committed to providing effective, efficient and responsive services to all applicants, district employees and our community.

NEW APPLICATION SYSTEM

We are now using PowerSchools application system to manage our postings and applications. Note, when creating a new profile in PowerSchools, it will not carry over any information from our previous online platform, so you may skip this step when prompted.

Jobs are posted as they become available. Positions posted will include a job description, required certification if necessary, job skills and available benefits. Teaching, clinical and administrative positions require WA state certification by the Certification Office of the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). You may contact the Certification Office for information about certification requirements, application process and fees.

As always, feel free to contact our department if you need assistance.

SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS

Substitutes play a vital role in our school district by:

  • Instructing students
  • Supporting teachers and students in the classroom
  • Maintaining our schools and grounds
  • Transporting students
  • Preparing and serving student meals

Substitutes enjoy flexible work schedules, opportunities to work in various locations and assignments, and a competitive wage. In addition, substitutes earn paid sick leave (which is transferable to other Washington state public school districts) and become eligible for medical benefits after working 630 hours in a school year. Many substitutes transition into permanent positions within our district.

Our substitute coordinator, Tina Ellison, will contact you once your application is complete.
